The Doctor
Dr. Thomas Gallaher
"I graduated from West Virginia University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, in the same hospital I was born 24 years prior. Growing up in a small town, I realized at an early age that I wanted to make a difference in the health/livelihood of people on a day-to-day basis by getting to know each patient and changing their perspective on dental care. While living in Hawaii I discovered that all patients want basically the same thing: a doctor/dentist that takes the time to listen and provide individualized attention/treatment whilst ensuring top-notch care in a timely and comfortable manner. In my spare time, I enjoy most sports, traveling, spending time with family, and reading. I pride myself on living by the golden rule, and believing that with advancements in technology in healthcare, patient comfort and satisfaction will continue to improve. I am very excited to join the close-knit Grandin community, and continue ensuring comprehensive, comfortable, and quality dentistry for each patient."

" I’m a wife and a mom, which is my favorite title! I joined Dr. Gallaher and the team because I knew what kind of dentist he was, and was more than thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such amazing people. Although I’m new to the dentistry world, I’m no stranger to customer/patient services, being the first person people see when they walk in, is the best part of the job. I make it a personal mission to put them at ease if there’s any anxiety/uneasiness because going to the dentist can be tough. In my free time, my favorite thing to do is hang out with my “threenager” and spend as much time with her as possible, enjoying every ounce of the toddler life."

I have a deep passion for dentistry and a love for teaching. I also work as a clinical instructor in the dental hygiene program at Virginia Western Community College and plan to continue my education."

"I grew up in Clifton Forge, and moved to Roanoke soon after graduating Dental Hygiene school at WCC. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and two precious children, who are my whole world outside of work! Although I am new to the Grandin Family Dentistry Team (as of 2023), I have had the pleasure of practicing dental hygiene for the past 10 years! I thoroughly enjoy my profession, and place a large focus on education and individual patient-centered care. I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with each and every patient. I look forward to meeting all of the new faces here at GFD!"

"While I'm usually in the back working alongside Dr. Gallaher to help make your smile beautiful, I enjoy bouncing around the office assisting the rest of my team when needed and learning all that I can about our patients. I've always had a passion for helping people and have worked mostly in the healthcare field, although I never thought that would include dentistry. I was welcomed to GFD at the beginning of the summer with open arms, (not even knowing that teeth had numbers) and have never loved a job or my teammates more than I do now! I'm excited to say I think I have found my calling and my crew! When I'm not working with teeth, I enjoy spending time with my family and being the best Aunt I can be to the coolest little dude on the block!"
HAPPY PATIENTS
Dr. Gallaher fixed a filling and gap on my front teeth from a previous dentist not doing it right and the difference was huge, he made the color match perfectly and have virtually zero pain. Hardly any gum pain or any bruising unlike the previous dentist I have seen in the past. He even took extras steps that others looked over. Definitely a great place for dental care.

Because we reserve a time especially for you, please make sure to make any schedule changes prior to 48-hours before your appointment time to avoid a $45.00 last minute cancellation fee.

Any no call/no show appointments, or appointments cancelled day of in the office will result in a $45.00 fee as well.
